2. Data We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

When you contact us via the website form, WhatsApp, email or telephone we may collect your name, email address, phone number, preferred language, property location and the content of your message.

2.2 Automatically collected data

When you visit our website we collect technical information through two analytics services:

• Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-0W5WYQL10G) — collects page views, scroll depth, outbound clicks, session duration, device type, browser, country and language. Data is processed by Google LLC under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Ahrefs Web Analytics — collects page views, referral sources and basic visitor metrics. Data is processed by Ahrefs Pte. Ltd.

Both services collect data in aggregated form. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process personal data for the following purposes:

• To respond to enquiries — Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To provide renovation services — Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To improve our website — Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how visitors use our site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may opt out via the cookie consent banner.
• To comply with legal obligations — Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), including Portuguese tax and accounting requirements.

4. Cookies

This website uses a cookie consent banner. When you accept cookies, we activate Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics. When you decline, no analytics cookies are set. We also store your cookie preference locally (mh_cookie_consent) so you are not asked again.

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or any form of cross-site tracking.

5. Sharing of Data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share data with:

• Hosting provider (Netlify Inc.) — for website delivery and form processing
• Analytics providers (Google LLC, Ahrefs Pte. Ltd.) — for website usage analysis
• Service providers — suppliers and contractors involved in delivering renovation services, under appropriate contractual safeguards

We may also disclose data when required by Portuguese law or EU regulation.

6. International Transfers

Your data is primarily stored within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where service providers process data outside the EEA (including Google LLC in the United States), we ensure adequate safeguards are in place, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an EU adequacy decision.

7. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:

• Contact form enquiries: up to 2 years
• Contractual and invoicing data: as required by Portuguese tax law (currently 10 years)
• Analytics data: as configured by each provider (Google Analytics retains data for 14 months by default)

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access, rectify or erase your personal data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
• Lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD — www.cnpd.pt)

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including HTTPS encryption, secure hosting via Netlify, and restricted access to personal data within the organisation.
